Carbon fiber fabrics can be classified in two ways. One method is based on weave density and type: there are classic woven fabrics (e.g., 1K, 3K, 12K) and unidirectional (UD) fabrics, which are not woven.
The other classification criterion is whether the carbon fiber fabric is high-modulus, high-strength, or highly resilient. The former are very stiff and lightweight, while the latter are extremely resilient and more flexible. It is impossible to build a lightweight, stiff frame suitable for high-level racing without predominantly using the former type! Conversely, frame manufacturing could not exist without the latter.
Wilier works with Mitsubishi carbon and its own proprietary premium fabrics, as well as fabrics developed jointly with other manufacturers.

The Wilier Urta Ultimate is a high-end, full-suspension cross-country/downcountry MTB featuring 29-inch wheels, a TorayCa M40X UD Hyper High Modulus Carbon frame, and 120 mm of travel.
Key features include the BOOST standard, "Technical Race" and "Fast Race" configuration options, a UDH dropout, and unique integrated cable routing. It boasts completely new geometry, characterized by shorter top tubes, a longer reach, and a slacker fork angle. The integrated rear shock has been fully redesigned to provide active suspension performance across all terrain conditions. The Urta Max SLR also accommodates an additional bottle cage and features the UDH dropout.
