Carbon fiber fabrics can be grouped in two ways. We can categorize according to tissue density and their types. There are classic crocheted (e.g. 1K, 3K, 12K) fabrics, and there are unidirectional, i.e. non-crocheted UD (unidirectional) fabrics.
The other grouping point is that a carbon fiber fabric has a high modulus, is strong, or is capable of high resistance. The former are very stiff and light, the latter are extremely resistant and more flexible. You cannot build a frame that is light, rigid and suitable for racing at a serious level without the dominant use of the former! However, without the latter, frame production does not exist.
Wilier works with Mitsubishi carbon and its own developed premium fabrics, and it uses fabrics jointly dreamed up with several manufacturers.

The Wilier Urta MAX SLR is an elite XCO European Championship-winning bike. It is a high-end, full-suspension cross-country/downcountry MTB featuring 29-inch wheels and a frame constructed from HUS-MOD + Liquid Crystal Polymer ultra-high-modulus carbon, offering 120 mm of travel.
Key features include the BOOST standard, a mud protector, a UDH dropout, and unique integrated cable routing. It boasts an entirely new geometry characterized by shorter top tubes, a longer reach, and a slacker head tube angle. It features an integrated rear shock absorber. The Flat Mount brake interface is lighter than the traditional post-mount setup and effectively balances the forces acting on the frame. The Urta Max SLR also accommodates a second bottle cage and is equipped with a UDH dropout.
